Cozy Up

by Brittany

Yesterday was nearly 80 degrees here but today isn't supposed to hit 70...so I'm deciding its fall. Because its mostly been warm I've been compromising and wearing lace up boots with shorts...not in a punk way just in a hey way (also cause they're brown and ankle high not black and knee high). And yesterday I bought Jesse a wonderful new hat that looks super on him. Paid way to much for it at Urban Outfitters. That place. Its so frustrating to me when I get an exact idea of something cause it means I'll have to buy it new and that offends my brain and wallet. There will be pictures to come.

Anyways, ever since a friend loaned me two volumes of Kinfolk Magazine (why are you so expensive????...because you're beautiful.) I've been really into winterizing life. Also cause its September but this was back in August...the heat of summer. One of the volumes was last fall's edition so thats the culprit.

Another thing was our couch busting and consequently getting thrown off the balcony. I tried to load the video here but failed...you'll have to just imagine how satisfying it was! Our old couch looked great...the classic low mid century couch that's not comfortable AT all. So yup. Step two in cozying up was this lovely new couch that's soft, fluffy, wide enough for two to lay on together and watch a good show or read and study. Plus its all ticking striped and not only that its ticking stripes are ROBIN'S EGG BLUE!!! weasels! we love craigslist!

Then we moved our table from our spare room into the kitchen...the better to host people with! Its been so beautiful having people sit around the table with coffee and talk while I putz about cooking! I love it! Plus it means we made the spare room more officially a bedroom by taking the bed out of the closet and giving it its very own quilt! (the bed is super comfy...just dying to have you sleep on it)!

The kitchen is a bit more crowded and I miss my sleek clear kitchen a tiny bit but the company is totally worth it. And we get to show off our beautiful alley table and chairs!
